DAT/TAB BITMAP PACKS

The game contains many DAT/TAB file pairs. TAB file contains bitmap size and position in DAT file, DAT file contains RAW bitmap data.
Additionally, external palette file is required. Palettes can be recognized by file size - they have 768 bytes.
All pictures in Syndicate Wars have 256 colors, so they are 8bpp.

To extract these pairs to sets of BMP files, use this (the package includes source to compile with GCC):

MSPR* files contains pictures for objects defined in level files. These files are not only DAT/TAB, but they contain additional INF file, which defines blocks of images. There are 36 blocks defined, some of them for specific objects (police man, adversary, mechanic spider), and some with more mixed content. To get a specific image from this file, there is a separate program (but also included in my download).
