Orders
Geneva, Vancouver and Matochkin Shar: Seek and persuade Bluesky Tendencies scientists.
Greetings. Your success is heartening.
Your next mission is to provide us with the brains we need to build a new R&D department. The Yamaguchi executives you persuaded provided us with information regarding the whereabouts of some top scientific personnel. Bluesky Tendencies has laboratories in Geneva, Vancouver and Matochkin Shar. All had Grade A scientific personnel assigned to them. As soon
as your agents reach any of these destinations, a UTOPIA identkey trace in the local network should pick out target personnel.
These scientists are some of the most prized brains in the Syndicate. It is imperative that they come to no
harm.
Update: The mysterious Church of the New Epoch gains more members hourly, converting citizens
with a combination of brainwashing and CHIP hacking techniques. The converts show little evidence
of genuine religious motivation. The Church of the New Epoch tells its followers that the end of the
world is near and that only the Church possesses the technology to save the faithful from the
Cataclysm. Their doctrine is defiantly anti-Syndicate.
Significantly, Unguided citizens don't necessarily join this cult, even when they encounter its zealots.
It also seems that our Persuadertrons do not work on the cultists themselves. We don't know why. We
know practically nothing about the cult's technology but research into it has now begun as a matter of
the highest priority. Their technical expertise is unquestionably impressive.

Start the mission with a persuadertron and as many miniguns as you can afford. The main concern on this city drop is keeping the scientists alive, so shoot anyone else you see who might have a gun.
The scientists are in most danger once you have persuaded them, so ensure the area is clear before you do. Look out for an executive being escorted by security men, he is carrying some cash so mug him if you see him.
Avoid the Church enclosure, it is trapped.
Persuade the scientists and escort them to the IML link.
The Church of the New Epoch gains more members every hour, converting citizens with a combination of brainwashing and chip-hacking by the virus. The church tells its followers that the end of the world is near and that only they have the technology to be saved from the great cataclysm. It seems that our persuadertrons don't work on the Zealots. For this reason, we'll have to research it with the highest priority. For this new research, we will need some brains. Persuade the scientists and bring them to us.
Trainer Mission #5.
You'll notice a church agent trying to persuade some citizens. You can kill him if you want to. As soon as you approach the entrance of the building where the scientists are located, you'll get some welcome greetings by Unguideds and by Zealots. You can take care of them without a problem if you have 4 miniguns.
Persuade the scientists when the battle is over, and escort them to the IML link. Underway a car with some Unguideds will come near. Take them out as soon as they step out of the car. Be sure the scientists are far enough -- they may not be harmed. Watch out for the high explosives the Unguideds are carrying. Take them with you before they explode, or be at least far away from them when they do. Get back to the IML link and this Mission is over.
Message ends.
Surveillance simulation
Results standard deviation: Low
New research: Pulse Laser (even if exited from mission)
New weapons: LR Rifle (unobtainable)
Possible loot: 200k cr, 2x High Explosive, 2 Scientists
Mission peculiarity: Recurring if not completed
At start you'll take care of one Zealot with a Minigun preaching the crowd. Then go towards their temple - you'll easily kill two more Zealots at entrance. Otherwise they would come to you, so it's better to handle them at your terms. Do not go into the gate though - you may have serious problems with going out, unless you are resistant to Psycho Gas.
While handling the temple was helpful, do not be bothered by Zealots near the church - all they have are Miniguns, and will just stand where they are.
Go near the Unguided activation point - they will appear in a near building and try to ambush you. Kill them, and do the same with two better grade Unguided guarding the Scientists.
Go with three agents to the place where financial executive with money will walk; he will appear at the same moment you'll enter your fourth agent to the square with scientists. Kill the cops and steal the money, before the invisible "ghost thief" does so. That's 200,000 credits.
Now perusade the scientist and leave them in the square with one agent. With three remaining agents, go to the point of activation again - two Unguided will arrive in bike, they'll be equipped with High Explosives. Pick up the bombs if you'll be able to.
At this point you can evacuate and it's over. But you do not want that. This is a first of special recurring levels - you can repeat it forever, as long as you never complete it. Each time you repeat it, you can get the credits, and two more Scientists. So pause the game and quit the mission. Not completing it will not affect further progress.
Additional hints
The "ghost thief" clearly has a LR Rifle, but there doesn't seem to be a way to get that weapon.
